Queens Crown II

The Queen’s Crown represents respect, victory, triumph and honour. A unique collage within this design creates a turban (Dastar) which symbolises aspects of being fearless and victorious. Part of the collage depicts the story of Mai Bhago ji, also known as Mata Bhaag Kaur ji. Mata Bhaag Kaur ji’s family had been devout Sikhs since the time of Sri Guru Arjan Dev ji. She famously accompanied the Chaali Mukhte, Forty Liberated Ones, back to Guru Gobind Singh Ji to ask for redemption. Mata Bhaag Kaur ji was the only survivor of the battle of Mukhtsar in 1705. She accompanied Guru Sahib on his journey towards Nanded. The idea of a female warrior was an almost unheard concept, but the house of Guru Nanak Dev Ji challenged all social norms and emphasised the greatness of the spirit and equality of gender. Mata Bhaag Kaur ji rose above social stereotypes and served the Guru with undying devotion and love.
